Tankless (continuously serves hot water) A tankless (coil) hot water heating seems like a good idea because it uses the heat from your boiler vessel to produce household hot water. With today's energy prices, it is quite inefficient because your boiler must be run nearly continuously to maintain a boiler temperature of 180+ degrees in order for this type of system to work.
